Newcastle United secured a resounding victory over Aston Villa in their Premier League opener, thanks to a brace from Swedish forward Alexander Isak.
The match, which took place at Villa Park on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, saw Newcastle dominate from the outset. Isak opened the scoring in the 15th minute with a stunning strike from the edge of the area, and he doubled his tally just before halftime with a well-taken header.
